The reason I started practicing meditation is because I found that no matter what material possessions I obtained I could never quite hold on to happiness. Sure there were pleasant feelings and experiences but none of it was lasting and I was inevitably disappointed.

I was lucky enough to stumble upon the ancient practice of Vipassana Meditation as passed down by the Buddha. Through direct observation students of this method are able to observe directly why we suffer and also observe what causes happiness, satisfaction and lasting peace.

The Buddha always told his students not to take his word for it but to see for themselves what the benefits are.
