If we are facing difficulty, the mind can become obsessed with worry about whether things will work out the way that we want. Even if the outcome that we seek is objectively trivial, the pain of an obsessed mind can be very uncomfortable.
This uncomfortable feeling is caused by the habit of the mind to grasp into future or to lament things that happened in the past. Of course, neither of these kinds of energy is productive. The only way to make progress is to do something right now that is actually useful.
If there was a way that you could heal the mind so that it would only pay attention to useful actions taken in the present moment and would not be interested in worrying about past or future, would you allow that healing to take place?
If the answer to the above question is yes, then your next action is simple. You just need to register for an insight meditation course so that the healing process can begin. The sooner we train the mind to be in the present moment the sooner we can solve the problems we are facing.
