There is something about human nature that causes us to ignore the truths that are right in front of our eyes. When we have a problem, there is a tendency to expect the solution to rival the problem in its complexity.
But why does it have to be so? The best solutions are strikingly simple — it is, after all, their elegance that makes them so appealing.
As we move toward solutions, therefore, one of the barriers we need to overcome is any preconceived notion we have that the way to solve our problems is something complicated.
The solution, as it turns out, is always to be found in bringing the mind into the present moment.
