If we give in to worry about the future it can paralyze us and prevent us from doing what we know is right. We may miss important opportunities because we are trapped by fear and dread.

However, if we stick to present moment, we can overcome this difficulty. Building present moment awareness has various aspects. One is to establish a regular routine of introspection so that we can be sure of our most important goals. Another is our day-to-day application of mindfulness through which we can observe opportunities to make progress toward our objectives.

These two aspects, regular insight meditation retreats, and our daily practice will combine to give us a powerful tool for success. This kind of success, which comes from insight born of mindfulness will always lead us in the right direction, towards satisfaction and away from suffering.
